We had a little time finding this garden but were glad we did. It is a complex which had a number of buildings clustered like a little British hamlet which used to have artisans and others. Then you went out to the gardens.
It is our understanding that the place was bought by an Asian multimillionaire that had little interest in it but was hoping it would give him some political points. As such he has it in a kind of holding pattern. They are maintaining it but not improving it. It's main use seems to be for Asian weddings. There were two while we were there.
I would still recommend a visit.This is a magnificent building which, unfortunately is rarely used and not for plants.
