ROCK ROSE Cistaceae
Rockroses come from the Mediterranean Basin of Europe and are very well adapted to some of our driest and harshest conditions. They are equally at home in poor and dry soil as well as near the beach within reach of salt spray. In the spring the rockroses put on a vigorous display of pink flowers. C. skanbergii grows about 3' tall and equally wide.
