CATMINT Lamiaceae
Not to be confused with catnip (N. cataria), Catmint is a delightful lavender blue groundcover which flowers profusely over a long period of time throughout the year. Related to the mints, its leaves are fragrant and just as Catnip, this plant also has some attraction to felines. The plants need to be sheared back hard to renew them. In the Preview Garden they have proven to be sensitive to "wet feet" (damprot in soggy soil) , but have seeded on their own near the mother plant.
