It is Elton Martinez Carvalho Leme, state judge at the Rio de Janeiro court. There is a paper dealing with him in 1993 in the J. Bromeliad Soc. Elton is certainly the number one among the Brazilian bromeliad experts and has published two books and more than 60 papers on this matter.
