Tillandsia xerographica mounting

I certainly could understand why she couldn't pick it up. It was very heavy. I mounted it on a piece of 2 x 12 redwood with soft iron wire. I bolted an angle bracket to it for mounting. I have it at my house and I have my fingers crossed hoping I can avoid killing it!!
