"Tillandsia tricholepis: Photo taken in Roberto Menescal's garden in August 1997. It grows under semi-natural conditions and is native in the Rio de Janeiro region. It is a widespread species belonging to subgenus Diaphoranthema and its range extends into Northeastern Brazil, Central Perœ, Central Argentina, and Southern Brazil."
