Pitcairnia smithiorum

Pitcairnia smithiorum (Ken Marks)

"A robust species which forms dense clumps quickly. It is easy to care for and requires little light. The torch like inflorescences last a long time as they continue to open new flowers successively.

The species was named after Dr. Sam and Hattie Lou Smith who introduced the species into cultivation. Hattie is the new BSI Vice President." Ken Marks
