"Reviewing the Troops".
Yes, I was supposed to be at attention, not taking a picture.
But, what do you expect, I was 15 years old.

I attended this encampment. I had to buy some
uniforms. The cost of travel, round trip, was $75.
We suspected they rolled out some very old rolling stock to take us
there. The coach was very high and had swinging lanterns.
We suspected they were part of Lincoln's Funeral train.
These pictures were taken with a little
plastic Brownie camera that gave prints that were about 1.5" x 2". I think the size was called 127.

very low for the Scouts. Eight of us would wander around in Washington and ultimately get lost. Yes,

cents apiece he would take us back to our camp. Then we could wander off and get lost again.
I have scanned them at 600 dpi and placed here at 4" x 6" and 72 dpi.
They
have held up rather well, particularly when one realizes they are almost 70 years old.
The first set of photos has a picture of Goodyear's first "blimp"
