Ken Carey, Bruce Borman and I were in Primary Flying School at Augustine Field, Jackson MS.
Ken had gotten to know the Managing Editor of the Jackson Daily News. His name was Bud Hancock and he asked Ken for Christmas and told him to bring two friends.
They entertained us very well and in the inevitable discussion it came out that Bud was from La Moure ND. In that discussion it turned out that he grew up about two blocks away from our house in La Moure. I even knew his dog "Bum", named for his habit of visiting all the neighboring houses for food!
