Daniel Dills (16)
Daniel Dills was the son of John M. Dills and Rhoda Frayer. He, his brother Charles and son Charles Henry all joined company C of the 5th Minnesota Volunteer Infantry Regiment. They were all in the famous Minnesota August 1862 battle at Fort Ridgeley. The Sioux were beaten back. Daniel was discharged in 1863 for chronic dysentery.
