Marie Hanson 1882-1936
I know remarkably little about her life before the middle 20's. She spent some time in Dunseith ND, married Daniel Dills, and had her first daughter Irene in November 1913. In 1915 they moved to LaMoure, North Dakota to go into business with his brother, both pharmacists.
In 1915 another girl arrived, Helen Evelyn. They moved to a new home on the north side of town. WWI was in full swing and I believe there was some concern that Daniel might have to go.
When the war was over and things were getting back to "normal" a son arrived, Charles Everard. A year later another son arrived but there was an unspecified problem and he died within an hour of birth.
She did all the things a small town housewife would do. She was a past worthy matron of the Eastern Star. Unfortunately her husband became ill in 1929 and after a miserable year he died in October 1930.
