This appears to me to be a visit by them to Marie's homestead.
The third person is unknown but if I had to guess, I would say Frances Hamp Dills, wife of J. C. Dills, Daniels' older brother.
To push the guessing even further, I would say that JC took this picture.
And with snow on the ground it would have to have been the winter of 1912. Since Irene was born in November of 1913 and there is no baby in this picture, this would again indicate 1912.
