Dills home in La Moure ND

This is the outside entrance to the basement that is great factor in my life. Then it had two doors. Mother had the one on the right open and I, probably about 3, started playing on the closed one. Then I played on both and went down head first and hit the corner of a cement step with the bridge of my nose.
It was a rather severe accident and they thought I might lose my left eye.
But Dr. Ribble did a wonderful job of putting me back together, particularly for a country doctor.
I have had a bit of trouble with my nose all my life and have had to have two sub-mucous resections. It did not keep me out of the Air Force in WWII and is probably part of the reason my hearing has a bit of a problem!
