There was a problem between Frank and J. C. So our family would spend Thanksgiving with one and Christmas with the other.
I never knew what the problem was but I've always believed J. C. said something that Frank could not accept about his marriage. Ella was 16 years younger than Frank and I've always guessed that J. C. did not approve!
