Fouquiera diguettii

Fouquiera diguettii

I would appreciate help in naming this pretty little thing!! Looks a little like a Euphorbia to me.

And John Henshaw says, " This plant is NOT a Euphorbia, it is a New World native, Fouquieria, probably splendens which is native to the U.S.A. but it could also be F. peninsularis or F. diguettii. It is just too small to tell. Wait 'till it gets to 6ft. and flowers and then you can identify it." Wow, I was off a mile. We had had Fouquiera diguettii so I suspect that is what it is.
And George Wake agrees with this identification too. Thank you George.
