James Richard Tyrer wrote the following, "Based on the flowers, this is most probably a "Fouquieria" but it is not the common: "splendens". Probably: "macdougallii" or one of the other tree types." I seem to remember getting a Fouquiera macdougallii at a time in the distant past!
