Here is the plant. It seems quite small.
It may be another of my depauperate beauties.

Derek Butcher questions the identity of this plant.
I have no idea at this time where I got it.

Tillandsia subandina (Ule) Mez ex L. B. Smith, Contr. Gray Herb. 98: 16. 1932. Desc from S&D
Plant flowering 7 dm high. Leaves rosulate, 6 dm long, minutely appressed-lepidote beneath;
Sheaths narrow;
Blades linear, erect, attenuate, flat, 15 mm wide.
Scape erect, slender;
Scape-bracts imbricate, acute. Inflorescence few-branched;
Primary bracts elliptic, acuminate, much shorter than the spikes;
Spikes suberect, lanceolate, 4-7 cm long, 6-12-flowered.
Floral bracts imbricate, elliptic, acuminate, 2 cm long, exceeding the sepals, strongly carinate, glabrous;
Pedicels 3 mm long; flowers 22 mm long.
Sepals lanceolate, acute, carinate;
Petals yellow, bearing 2 highly adnate scales;
Stamens and pistil included.
