This plant bloomed for me over ten years ago. This is an older photo and the color has suffered somewhat.
And here is Uncle Derek again, helping me ID plants, "Perhaps I am looking at them upside down being from down under but the erect inflorescence seems to be the Aechmea weilbachii whereas the droopy one seems to be a hybrid using 'Foster's Favorite'." Uncle D
