I'm pleased. Dr. Gouda of Utrecht helped me with this identification.
It was maddening when it appeared to be blooming but the flowers seemed to have stopped developing.
When I looked at pictures taken a couple months apart I could see there had been a change.
Then I looked in another part of the yard that I hadn't been to very recently, and there was this one with three inflorescences and one of them had a flower!
