This was a "lost label" plant until I sent a picture to Dr. Gouda at the University of Utrecht.
And he said, "Tillandsia latifolia (which is very variable in forms and varieties)."This kind of surfprises me because the other latifolias I have are very much larger with long stems and branched paddles with almost inconspicuous flowers.
But he does say they are "very variable" and this has got to be one of the most variant forms.
