I know there is bound to be a lot suspicion about these cultivars and fortunately they bloomed at a reasonably close interval. The species bloomed first, 'Sockeye' bloomed second and 'Adolph's White' last.
But there was some overlap so I put the three together and took this picture so you could see all three at once.
The 'Adolph's White" in this picture is depauperate because it was stuck in a place in my yard where it did not get what it needed to fully bloom. A previous picture of it on this page will show you that when bloomed right the inflorescence is twice as big as the species and tapers, as does 'Sockeye'.
After some grinding of teeth, Uncle Derek has accepted these as legitimate cultivars. Thank you Derek.
