Aechmea gamosepala and cultivars
2005.0303

Bill Baker of Los Angeles has a number of interesting plants. I got two cultivars of Aechmea gamosepala from him that came up in a flat of seedlings at Huntington Gardens for a propagator named Adolph. One had white flowers and a much larger inflorescence and is called Aechmea gamosepala cv 'Adolph's White'.
Another cultivar has an inflorescence like 'Adolph's White' but dark blue petals. It has the cultivar name 'Sockeye'. And this is it.
