Aechmea phanerophlebia

"I have attached a couple of photos of what I believe to be Aechmea phanerophlebia, as far as my key deciphering skills can tell (Flora Neotropica page 1829). I started the plant from seed from the Bromeliad Society Seed Fund labeled as Aechmea purpureo-rosea back in 1978 or 1979.
The original plant never bloomed and it never seemed happy in a pot, so I mounted it on a piece of lava rock 8 or 9 years ago. This is the first time it has bloomed for me."
