I have found a plant in the desert garden of a botanist friend of mine which I believe is Ochagavia carnea. It is a very difficult plant to get a pup from, but I will persevere. I did manage to get a spent inflorescence which has seeds. I'm testing their viability now. I'm putting two pictures on this alpha list now so that anyone that knows the plant can tell me if it is reasonable for this to be that plant. I'm very pleased to report that Dr. Till has confirmed my identification. It is pleasing for an amateur like me to get it right with a strange plant like this.
Dr. Till says,"I have checked the plant with Fl. Neotropica vol. 14(3). 1979, and can confirm your identification."
