He says, "I have pictures of a blooming Dyckia rariflora which is a descendant of one I got in San Luis Obispo when I was an OH student from 1970-75.
It is from the garden of Dr Pierera out on lower Higuera St - the garden was 'renovated' a few years later and all of the succulents, broms and Nerines discarded.
