I was based at Serragia Airfield on Corsica from 12 July to 24 August 1944.
Dominique Tatei of Corsica has sent me this picture.
He says, "On the photo you have four airifields taken in mid August 1944, you can put it on your web.
The four Airfields were Borgo, Poretta, Serraggia and Alto."The picture is taken towards the south and the Mediterranean is off the left side.
Ours was the third one back from the one in the foreground.
We were rather close to each other but I don't remember any problems from potentially interlocking airfield patterns.
